Decorate Your Own Day of the Dead Halloween Skulls

Halloween crafts for kids are a great fun activity to do at home, and these Day of the Dead decorate your own skulls are a perfect halloween craft for kids to enjoy. That's not entirely accurate to be honest - these are not just for kids - these can be fun for mums and dads too. 

Once decorated (maybe during a family craft off competition), they can be hung in the window. Each Day of the Dead Skull is supplied with window suckers and string to hang. How many will you be decorating this year? 

Made from 3mm plywood, these decorations can be used again and again - and mean that you are not using plastic to decorate your home this year. In addition - given that these are going to have taken some time to create and are made from a sustainable source of wood, they are a decoration that can be used year after year.

1 x large skull

1 x small skull

2 x window suckers

2 x string to hang

8 x coloured gems

(You will need your own pens / crayons or pencils to create your masterpiece)

Using felt pens gives a vibrant colour finish, there may be a small amount of bleed in the wood. I have shown this in the images. Crayons and pencil crayons also work really well, as would paint for those with a steady hand!
